Player Piano vs. Ordinary Piano
By Don Winter

Well, I have been out window shopping for a replacement piano, in
no particular price range. Since my goal is to have something that
requires no restoration, I have limited myself to grand pianos no
older than roughly five years, and I looked at a few with [solenoid
action] disc players in them.

So far they _all_ are background elevator music sounding with, very
little expression. Is this the case with all these things still after
all these years? Not much music available either for each system. So
far I'd rather just have a non-player for the difference in the money.
Any comment from the list? Thanks!

Don Winter

[ A good-looking new PSO (piano shaped object) is easy to find, Don.
[ Just place a good hi-fi stereo system behind it. Do you want a
[ high quality piano sound? Will you hire a pianist to entertain?
[ The player piano or reproducing piano has many nice features! :-)
