Source of Kangaroo Leather for Pouches
By Colin MacKinnon

Dale, It's breeding season for kangaroos and at the moment they
All need their pouches for their joeys. I'm glad you didn't ask
about money purses made from the ... ah, well, ah, of male kangaroos.

I'm afraid I didn't find a local supplier of very thin kangaroo hide in
A quick phone around, but perhaps someone else on MMD will be able to
help. It is possible to buy tanned kangaroo skins, a Japanese tourist
special, but they are quite thick. I imagine the 0.004" skin has been

Colin MacKinnon in Australia,
where kangaroos hide from piano restorers
and ladies wanting furry purses.
