Wurlitzer Band Organ Music Roll Projects
By Bill Nunn

Three cheers for Bill Masterman! The recent roll cutting projects are
exciting. Our instruments sound only as good as the music they play.
The arrangements have a lot to do with this. Luckily, there are more
than just the older Wurlitzer and B.A.B. rolls available. While many
of these are very good rolls, we were limited to them.

Now we have other rolls from other arrangers becoming available. We
have Tom Meijer, Art Reblitz, David Stumpf, Bob Stuhmer and now Wayne
Holton. We also have all the new 165 Stinson rolls which are all
European arrangements. One of these excellent rolls has been
transcribed by Mike Grant to Wurlitzer 125 format. Wayne is working
on a second roll and I am sure it will be as phenomenal as his first.
Wurlitzer machines are getting a new sound thanks to these new
arrangers.
