Gold Label Music Box Company
By Matthew Caulfield

I thought that finding an address for the Gold Label Music Box Company
would be simple, since a number of dealers in kitsch seem to carry
their wares, to judge from web site hits. But I was unable to find the
company. (Perhaps the Memphis Arts Consortium pays them to keep their
presence in that city a secret.)

Of course they are not a real music box company in the sense that Reuge
is or that Mermod, Paillard, or Regina were, and it is likely that the
real name of this company that puts novelty musical movements into
collectibles like stuffed bears and miniature carousels is something
else entirely.

A note to Nancy Fratti (Panchronia Antiquities), who knows the music
box field well, may get the answer. Her email address is
musicbox@dreamscape.com.
