John F. Morse Study on Music Roll Perforators
By Dave Saul

The Morse study on perforators [030226 MMDigest] is indeed a valuable
document, especially interesting to persons such as myself who are
involved with music roll perforating.

I have a dog-eared, multi-generation copy of the original Morse study
in which the copied photos are somewhere between poor and terrible.
However, the entire study was published in the AMICA bulletin in 1977.
The AMICA bulletin photos are properly screened for publication and
are quite clear. They are, however, somewhat reduced in size from the
originals.

The study was published in two successive issues, starting in May
(Vol. 14, No. 4) and concluding in the June/July issue (Vol. 14, No.
5). It seems likely that this material would also be found in AMICA's
"Technicalities" compilations, although I haven't checked that source.
