Seek Repair of Automaton Monkey
By Joseph W. Vitale

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I have an automaton monkey that I recently purchased. He is dressed in
a silk costume with a black top hat. He has what looks like a cigar in
one hand and I was told he had a cane in the other hand although it is
missing.

He is standing on a base which is covered in a red velvet with fringes.
When I removed the bottom cover of the base there is what looks like
a clock movement on which is stamped the name MARCUS and below that is
stamped France. There is also a small music box and a single bellows
with two hoses that go up to his head. I was told he is from the early
20th century.

I would like any information that you could tell me about him also,
because he is not working. I am looking for a company to repair him.

Thank You
Joseph W. Vitale
