Barrel Orchestrion by Antal Gusechlbauer
By Joseph Romanchick

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hello, I have an orchestrion in need of help. I would like to restore
this, but could use some help. The brass plate on the front reads

  Guschelbauer Antal
  Sopron
  Kossuthstrasse 9A

It is barrel operated, driven by a heavy weight, and has piano, bells,
two drums, cymbal and mandoline attachment. It is coin operated, but
coin gear is missing. It is seven-and-a-half feet tall, but I think
there is an ornate piece missing from the top.

I would like to restring this, but the writing for the notes is very
faint, and I can't make out the letters. They do not appear to be
what I am used to, such as C, D, E, F, G, A, B, etc. Any help in
identifying or stringing would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe Romanchick
