Mechanical Music in London
By Jeffrey Borinsky

David Sharpe asks about mechanical music in London. The Mechanical
Music Museum in Brentford, near Kew Gardens, is closed this season.
They are to moving to new premises nearby and hope to be open again
in 2004.

This leaves London without its best mechanical music attraction.
The Organ Museum in St Albans is open on Sunday afternoons only;
well worth a visit both for the museum and the historic city itself.
The St Albans Organ festival is also in July:

Carters Steam Fair is a lovely old time touring fairground with
organs on two of its rides. They are often around London but their
web site, http://www.carters-steam-fair.co.uk/main.html does not
give dates and venues. You may see their posters around or phone
them and ask.
