The problems that I was experiencing with my dedicated laptop computer,
playing the Phillip's Ampico files and Chase's Duo-Art files, are now
solved permanently.

It was an interesting session.  I wanted to keep the basic idea of
running the organ's pianos from the hard drive and the RAM and not keep
using the CD-ROMs for playback, for safety reasons.  The operating
system, Windows 2000 Professional, was not the problem.  The computer
had a good number of old programs in it that may or may not have had
imbedded commands that caused problems, but they were cleaned out anyway.

To use WindPlay, the BAR files for both of the roll system music
files were reorganized into the desired suites of music and locked in,
a feature I did not know that Windows afforded but my computer guru
knew about.  Now, unless unlocked first, they cannot be changed by the
computer or by any accidental key strokes by me, which was no doubt the
reason for all of this mess in the first place.

The system is roaring away on the Allen theater organ and all is well.
