Hi,  I have been reading this digest for only about a year so I hope
that the following does not repeat previously covered material.

I recently bought two electronic tuners on eBay -- really neat:

(1) A Korg CA-20 chromatic tuner (about $20 including postage), and
(2) a QuikTune guitar-bass tuner (about $15 including postage).

The QuikTune device can be used for only the six open strings of
a guitar or bass.

I consider tuning a piano the ultimate challenge.  I have tuned my
piano for years using an old tube-type Conn Strobotuner which makes
the job relatively easy.

The price for the Korg CA-20 chromatic tuner is quite remarkable!
It could be used to tune a piano, but not quite as well as the Conn.
It should do an excellent job for any other instrument, e.g., organs
and music boxes.  Both of these hand-helds are very accurate as checked
by the Conn.

Search on QuikTune and Korg CA 20.  There are several models of the
Korg so read the descriptions to be sure which one suits you.
