Pouch Bleeds for Reproduco Piano-Organ
By Chris Kalstone

Hi Group, I am in the process of redoing a previous so-called
restoration of a home version Reproduco. The expert restorer used
latex pouches in place of the old rubber cloth ones and, of course,
they're gone.

My question to the group is should I change out the larger bleeds
for a smaller cup size of maybe #68 drill? I want to do this because
the pouches will now be of kangaroo leather. Yes, I plan to seal the
new leather, and all of the individual components have been restored
correctly. I just want a good responsive piano and organ. The organ
pouches will be of leather, too.

I also need a tubing diagram to the eight controls on the instrument
(piano off, tremolo, flutes, diapasons, etc.). The one in the MMD
Archives is helpful on how the Reproduco works but does not really go
into how this "poor mans G" is tubed. Any photos of the insides would
also be greatly appreciated. Photos of the lock and cancel tubing,
pipe chest connections and any other important details would really
help a lot.

[ Some technical data about the Reproduco piano-organ, including the
[ expanded models called "Super Junior Reproduco" and "Super Reproduco",
[ has been placed at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Tech/Reproduco/index.html
[ Included are images of the original Reproduco booklet, "Instructions
[ and List of Parts". More diagrams and photos are welcome. -- Robbie
