Fats Waller Piano Rolls Played On Pipe Organ
By Steve Bentley

I read it somewhere, a few years back, that Fats Waller played the
organ in the Notre Dame in Paris and actually made some recordings, and
I believe them to be the jazz type and RCA are still reluctant to issue
them, I think due to the location and type of music in which some people
might take offence. There is always someone to ruffle the feathers.

[ I asked John Farrell about this. He replied, "... although there
[ can be little doubt that Fats did play a cathedral organ in Paris,
[ it was probably the one at St. Sulpice, not Notre Dame. I can find
[ no evidence that the session was recorded." -- Robbie
