Small Glue Pot Substitute
By Roger Wiegand

I've never seen a smaller glue pot, but I find that the pint jars used
for pickles, salsa, Cheez-Whiz and the like work very well (about
3-1/2" in diameter and 3" tall).

I put some water in the large pail on my standard glue pot ("Hold Heet",
I think) and then use the jar as a secondary container. I made a 3/4"
hole in the lid to drop the brush into and found that the partial lid
greatly slows evaporation (much less fussing with the glue consistency
when you are a slow worker like me).

It makes for easier clean-up, allows me to use a couple of different
gram strength glues without a major switchover cost, and it's easy to
stick the jar in the freezer to prevent mold growth when it's going to
have to sit out for more than a couple days.

Cheers!
