Emil Welte & Edwin Welte in Old Photo
By Robbie Rhodes

Gerhard Dangel, who maintains the Welte archive at Augustinermuseum,
Freigburg, asks help to identify the people in an old photo. At the
far right is Emil Welte and seated next to him is Edwin Welte. The
prominent figure in the center slightly resembles George Bernard Shaw
without a beard! (Maybe they're bankers...)

Gerhard says, "The photo seems to be made in the USA, but I'm not sure.
The wardrobe of those gentlemen doesn't look really European."

I've placed the photo at the MMD Pictures site, in the section of Welte
lore and history: http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures/Welte/Hist/index.html

Please write to me <editor@foxtail.com> if you can help.
