Electric Hot Glue Pot - "Hold-Heet"
By John Johns

Hello everyone: The current thread on hot glue pots seems like
a good opportunity to relate my experience with a "Hold-Heet" pot.
As has been mentioned several times that the inner aluminum pot
tends to corrode and will eventually leak. This did happen to mine
and rather than immediately invest in a new one I decided to try
and repair it.

First I located the holes and marked them (they were quite small).
The pot was then cleaned and each hole treated with a drop of thin
cyanoacrylate glue ("Crazy Glue"). Once this had cured a drop of
thick glue was added and allowed to cure.

This happened over a year ago and the pot has been free of leaks
ever since (I use it on average two to three times a week). I should
still buy a new pot (or at least the liner if I can find one) but the
incentive is no longer there.
