Bursens 88-note Roll Specification
By Ralph Schultz

Hello MMD readers: The best information that I can find --
directly from Arthur Prinsen, the noted music arranger of Belgium --
is that holes 6-7-8-84-87 are open holes, hole 85 is a register for
the Saxophone.

I hope this is of some help to Mr. Craig Williams.

[ Craig Williams wrote in 040715 MMDigest that Bursens 88-note rolls
[ exist which use all the holes. Since Mr. Prinsen is an experienced
[ noteur who wants his works to be playable on any similar orchestrion,
[ I suspect that he arranges rolls for only the features available on
[ all orchestrions that might play the roll. Then he gets no
 [ complaints. -- Robbie
