Criterion Music Box With Coin Drop On Top
By Ralph Schultz

Hello to all you MMD readers: In fourteen years of music box
restoration I finally have a music box I never had before: a 14-inch
Criterion coin operated. Most of the coin mechanism is there but
some is missing.

It's very unusual: the coin is dropped from the top, dropping into a
cleverly designed flipper that forces the coin to enter the coin slide
every time without missing. On the front of the box is a nickel-plated
tag with the words, "Drop a penny and push the button," and below that
is the button.

Some component parts for the internal linkage are missing and I am
hoping someone has a box like this that can he can describe, photograph
or lend me for copying, to put mine back to original. Any and all help
is appreciated.

Thank in advance
Ralph J. Schultz
