Gilbert & Sullivan Songs on Piano Rolls
By Jim Canavan

As a big-time Gilbert & Sullivan fan, I was thrilled to receive
this week a piano roll from the U.K. on the Universal Song Roll
label (88-note Themodist):

  #36159
  The Mikado, Act I
  "Behold the Lord High Executioner"
  Key of E Flat
  Hand Played
Arthur Sullivan, Lyric by W.S. Gilbert

The arrangement sounds like it's probably directly off the actual
piano score, and it's currently my favorite sing-a-long roll, but
now I'm wondering: Does anyone know if this might have been part of
a series Universal released featuring many or all of the major songs
from Mikado? Then of course the next question: if there are more
rolls, would anyone happen to know where I can find any?
