Six years is a long time to wait for a reply!  But I think I have
the answer for you:

The Alfred Fox Piano Co. was in Bridgeport, Conn.  I just picked up
six small brass plates at a flea market with the information.

I was trying to learn something about the company myself but there's
no data out there.  My guess is they were a local piano dealer.
