"Orgophon" by Julius Heinrich Zimmermann
By Luuk Goldhoorn

The Orgophon was introduced at the Leipzig Autumn Fair, 1902; first
a manivelle. No specifications are given, a maker is not named.

There was also a 'Konzert-Orgophon', with 26 harmonium double reeds,
which automatically played forte or piano. And an 'Orchester-Orgophon'
with 38 double reeds, drum and triangle.

(Information from Zeitschrift für Instrumentenbau 1901/02, p. 983ff,
and Musik Instrumenten Zeitung September 6, 1902)

Regards,
Luuk Goldhoorn
