Tuning a Wurlitzer Band Organ
By Dale Gunnar

Further to my earlier comment, my Wurlitzer 145 organ had been dropped.
Wurlitzer's successor, Ralph Tussing, built a new case and tuned it
just before he died, so I suppose the tuning was as original.

In 1977 I had the organ in a TV studio for live music spots. A pianist
there attempted to accompany my organ but gave up, saying he couldn't
play "in the cracks, between my keys". So I'm sure the organ was tuned
about a half-step flat.
