Band Organ Music at Texas State Fair
By Jerry F. Bacon

Today I went to our State Fair of Texas in Dallas, and as I always do I
went to the Merry-Go-Round to hear whatever Band Organ is in use.
Walking towards it, I saw brass trumpets, which piqued my interest. In
the usual place where a Wurlitzer normally sits, was a North Tonawanda
with trumpets. It resembled a Wurlitzer 148.

Music was playing, but not from the organ, which sat mute. Recorded
music! But at least the music was from some automatic organ with
xylophone.

What is this world coming to?

Jerry F. Bacon,
Dallas, Tex.
