Mike Kitner 80-Keyless Gebr. Bruder Organ Sold
By Kathy Kerchner

For some non-technical information about the Rick Cooley's Bruder
organ [061204 MMDigest] I have to tell about the first time I saw
it. Bill and I were visiting in North Carolina and stopped at
Doyle Lane's home and saw the organ for the first time. It was in
_so many_ pieces, and the only thing that even resembled an organ
was the facade. I jokingly said that if we didn't get it back
together we might be able to use it as a head board to our bed.

We bought the organ and then Bill went down with a U-haul truck and
drove back home with hundreds of pieces of parts. Bill worked on it
a couple of years. He and Mike Kitner were in touch during all this
process. Upon his death we were in contact and I sold the organ to
Mike. What a great job Mike did finishing it. I'm glad to know
where it went.
