Church Organ Pipes in a Band Organ
By Gary Rasmussen

MMD, An inoperable 1928 church pipe organ has been made available
to me. Someday I plan to build a band organ and/or an orchestrion.
I would appreciate comments on the pros and cons of using old church
pipe organ pipes to build band organs or other mechanical music
instruments.

If I do acquire this organ and use the pipes for other applications
such as a band organ, what would I do with the console? It is
beautiful oak, with 3 manuals. Does anyone know if there is a market
for organs such as this to relocate and restore?

Any thoughts or comments on any of this would be appreciated.
