Mislabeled QRS Story Roll
By Eric Stott

I have a copy of QRS Story Roll D-61 with a few mysteries. First,
it's supposed to be "Hungarian Dance No. 7" by Brahms, but it isn't.
(It isn't "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 7" by Liszt, either.) It's a rather
nice composition with a lot of arpeggios, and a text picturing the
Rhine Maidens dragging unwary men to their deaths!

Second, while the box and roll labels state the roll is played by
Sturkow-Ryder, the leader is stamped Marguerite Volavy.

I'm pretty certain it's a mislabeled roll. Anyone know what this
piece really is?
