USPS Media Mail
By Will Herzog

Subtitle rebuttal, or defense... Wil Herzog says in rebuttal that the
person at the post office suggested Media Mail for a box of tape-books,
thus saving me money. When he asked what it contained I'd replied
taped books ["talking books"]. He told me about the media rate.

Remember that the post office _would_ have sent it free matter for
the blind, totally free. I just felt guilty about sending it that way,
as am sighted; the recipient was blind, but the postal worker didn't
know that. Their competitors aren't burdened by that.

I believe the post office treats this rate as a burden, and would
simply like to do away with it. They certainly don't handle the
packages with the care they should. And they most likely aren't
making the money from Media Mail that they feel they should.
