Seek Action Stack for Strich & Zeidler Upright
By Randolph Herr

My friend Rick Smith at The Piano Exchange in Glen Cove, Long
Island, New York, is looking for a player stack for an old Strich &
Zeidler upright. John Tuttle says that this company used the Autopiano
mechanism, but Rick is just looking for something that fits. I might
point out that the scale of the piano is 26 Bass, 27 Tenor and 35
Treble. A weird scale like that is not going to be easy to find, but
under some circumstances, pneumatics can be moved.

Does anyone have a stack that might be usable? An upright Ampico stack
would be good because their policy was to drill out all possible holes
for valves, and then they would just cover up the holes they weren't
using for any particular piano.

Rick also has several upright players that he is looking to give away,
or else they have to go to the landfill. Please contact him at
1-516-671-6515.
