Late Aeolian Pushrod Guide Rail
By Skip Downing

Greetings all, I have just run into a problem with the Aeolian
Sting II player piano which I have not encountered before. The
pushrods from the striker pneumatics appear to have shifted sideways
just enough so that nearly all pushrods are playing two notes each.

Is there an adjustment to a pushrod guide rail in these systems?
I didn't haul the stack out of the machine to have a look since it
was a late afternoon appointment, and I figured someone here might have
some insight into this situation. All I can foresee is to remove the
top stack, piano action, and enough keys to get a clear look at what's
going on, but I'm hoping there's an easier fix than that. Thanks in
advance for any advice anyone can offer.
