Constructing a MIDI Calliope
By Joe England

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I have been learning a lot in reading the MMD Archive -- what a
treasury of practical experience in building pipes, etc.! I've found
a couple of email addresses along the way, but none of them has been
valid.

Also, everyone who has used a MIDI interface only mentions the fact
without giving any details of the implementation. I would be interested
to know how some of these folks got there, if anyone would share their
software notes with me. I think I can do the job with Java (using the
javax.sound.midi package), but I would gladly try another approach.

Please forward this to anyone who might be interested or might have
advice.
